Core Keeper

Core Keeper Scarlet Ore: Wilderness to Scarlet Bars

The quick answer

Find Scarlet Ore in the Grass Walls of Azeos' Wilderness beyond the Great Wall. Mine it, then use a Smelter Kiln to make Scarlet Bars. An early Furnace is not the correct smelting station.

PC-focused guidance. Exact values may differ by version, difficulty and world type.

Unlock Azeos’ Wilderness

Scarlet Ore is mainly gathered in Azeos’ Wilderness outside the Great Wall. If you are still inside, defeat Glurch, Ghorm and Malugaz, return the three statue items, speak to the Core and touch the wall. Hive Mother cannot substitute for those requirements.

Mine walls and mark boulders

Look for ore sparkles in Grass Walls. Mine the deposit and check that Scarlet Ore enters your inventory. If you find a Scarlet Boulder, mark it for later drilling instead of treating it as an ordinary wall.

Containers, fishing and some drops can also provide ore, but they are not a stable replacement for the main exploration route. If a wall is difficult to break, check your mining tool and damage.

Use the Smelter Kiln

Process Scarlet Ore in a Smelter Kiln, available through the Iron Workbench stage. Do not leave it in an early Furnace expecting a Scarlet Bar.

Scarlet Bars support Scarlet-tier crafting, equipment and automation. Consider upgrading the production chain when you find your first supply.

Troubleshoot the route

If you cannot find ore, confirm the biome and wall type. If the ore will not smelt, check the station type. Mining thresholds and exact smelting times are not presented here as verified 1.3 numerical values.
